About Me

Hi, my name's Rachael, thanks for reading my blog.

For a really long time, as long as I can remember, I've been making things. At the age of about 5 I was making dresses out of tissue paper and glue for my dolls. This then progressed to my first wobbly attempts at stitching together bits of fabric on my Mum's old sewing machine at the age of 10, and by the time I hit 14 I was taking textiles at school and learning to sew like a grown up.

I've always loved sewing, baking, drawing and anything creative. The more complex, the better. At school, art and textiles were my favourite subjects, but I never felt like it was ok to build a career in the creative sector. Now at the age of 25, I'm attempting to reclaim some of my creativity. So now I'm on a long term project to claw back my creative side - hens the blog! I hope you enjoy reading my progress and feel free to get in touch any time.
